Privacy policy

What we collect

We don’t ask you to create an account or give us personal details. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and to fix the issue you raised, and we don’t add you to any mailing list.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages are useful and where pages are hard to use. These services use cookies or similar technology to collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how the page is used.

Microsoft Clarity also records how visitors scroll, click and move around a page (session recordings and heatmaps). The site has no forms that ask you to type personal details. These tools do not give us your name or contact details.

Advertising

The site may show ads from advertising partners such as Google. These partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised Google ads at Google Ads Settings, and learn more at aboutads.info. Visitors in some regions, such as the European Economic Area and the UK, will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

Hosting and overseas processing

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare, Google and Microsoft may process information outside Australia, including in the United States.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use browser extensions that block analytics. The site still works without them; the quick-check tools run entirely in your browser and don’t send your answers to us.
